Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join a new mobile lab operation to support molecular sample analysis. This individual will train new employees, consult with customer and supervise a mobile lab unit.

Note: This position does not require patient contact

+ Train employees on assays and preventative maintenance on qPCR instruments

+ Consult with customers on creating SOPs and defining a training program and other lab processes

+ Provide technical direction and training in a BSL-2 lab

+ Oversee the day to day operation, analysis, and staff within a multi-shift mobile laboratory

+ Assist analysts with routine sample analysis and provide troubleshooting direction as needed

+ Assist with qPCR assays

+ Willingness to travel with the operation as it moves

+ Troubleshoot and provide direction when inconclusive results occur

+ Generate and report mobile lab metrics to lab manager

+ Follows policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

+ BS or MS degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or other Biological science with 3 or more years of industry experience

+ Must be comfortable wearing appropriate PPE and working in a BSL-2 level lab for the duration of the shift

+ Experience working with DNA/RNA and analyzing samples on the PCR, RT-PCR and/or qPCR

+ Experience with aseptic technique

+ Willingness to travel with the operation as it moves

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

+ The individual should be self-motivated, ambitious, hard working, and able to work independently with an eye for detail

+ Must be able to multitask efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment
