Job Description

American Aluminum Extrusion supplies quality aluminum extrusions and fabrications with high standards for meeting or exceeding design and tolerance specifications in some of the most demanding fabricated product markets.

AAE has an immediate opening for a Material Handler. This full-time hourly position is located in Roscoe, IL.
• Follow a pick list for orders to be shipped, identify and stage loads as per the visual calendar to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Handle daily cycle counts in assigned areas.
• Operate cranes and forklifts to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving area to storage or shipping container.
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications by using loading verification books for specific customers, ensuring loads are safe and secure prior to shipping.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean and maintained at all times
• Complete documentation as required.
• Follow all safety requirements including forklift inspections and documentation.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
• Cross-train, learn and support other functions or processes as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Ability to achieve and maintain forklift and crane certifications within AAE.
• Ability to complete accurate documentation and work on computers, including EPICS.
• Ability to perform basic math and read a tape measure.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, working safely.
• Ability to grow into a material handle 2 position.
• Flexible to work overtime or change shifts as required.
