Key Duties:

+ Responsible for preparing media and stock solutions for internal customers.

+ Follow advanced quality and laboratory techniques to track materials, processes, and products to ensure they meet the organization?s quality standards.

+ Approves incoming materials and finished product by confirming specifications; conducting visual and coordinating analytical and other validation tests

+ Ensure that supplies and equipment are maintained at an adequate level.

+ Records and maintains appropriate data, evaluate correctness of results.

+ Reads, interprets and records results of testing.

+ Reports any unusual or out-of-specification testing results immediately.

+ Assists in maintaining and keeping documentation up to date.

+ Assists in calibration program.

+ Assists in identifying and resolving issues and/or taking appropriate action on sanitation issues, non-conforming product or material issues as directed.

+ Make quality and process improvement suggestions and follow through to implement as appropriate.

+ Under the direction of the Quality Manager, assist with the closure and resolution of Customer Complaint Activities and Corrective Action Requests

+ Assist in the investigation, analysis and resolution of material issues by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends and leading continuous improvement plan.

+ Follow safety protocols and procedures. Recognize and report hazards and take appropriate action to keep yourself and others safe.

+ Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related duties as needed

Required Qualifications:

+ Min Associates Degree, or equivalent, in Biology, Chemistry, or Biochem

+ Minimum 3 years? experience in a lab environment

+ Hands on experience and knowledge of principles, practices, and equipment utilized in a laboratory environment.

+ Good verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently, be self-directed and able to prioritize projects.

+ Requires attention to detail with focus on accuracy and quality.

+ Well versed in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
