Job Description

FULL TIME SECURITY OFFICERDAY SHIFT – Thursday (12PM – 6PM), Friday through Sunday (6AM – 6PM)

Sipi Metals Corporation

Has been in business continuously for over a century. Founded in 1905, we are a precious metals refiner and manufacturer of copper alloys.

Purpose: The in-house Security Officer assures a safe and secure manufacturing and operational environment. Duties include guarding, patrolling, and monitoring the premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of Plant rules. Patrols premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors and gates. Answers alarms and investigates disturbances. Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, truck drivers and measures weight of cargo loads. Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property. Warns persons of rule infractions or violations, and reports the violators. Operates detection devices to screen individuals and prevents passage of prohibited articles into or out of restricted areas. Follows security procedures and improves on processes.

Additional Responsibilities:

Building and maintaining customer and employee relations.
Providing customer service and patrolling the facility and parking lots.
Scanning employees in and out of facility.
Administrate safety equipment and log.
Administrative assignments data entry, documented process improvements.
Responsible for policy and procedure development.
Fire/life safety/security alarm response.
Conducting emergency response drills and training with all staff.
Providing customer service to the highest level possible.
Job Requirements:

Must be able to work 12 hour shifts
College or Higher Education preferred.
Microsoft Suite – computer skills necessary
Must have 3+ year experience in security.
Security Officer licensure/certification also acceptable.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (outlook, word).
Bi-Lingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
Must be able to work night shifts.
