The Argonne CI Program’s mission is to detect and mitigate national security threats to the laboratory from foreign powers, intelligence services, and terrorist groups by aggressively investigating, disrupting, and mitigating all national security threats to the laboratories in a manner sensitive to their scientific mission and the nature of international research. The CI Program also comprehensively educates laboratory management and employees about counterintelligence risks, thereby enabling them to identify and avoid risk, and builds robust collaborative partnerships with U.S. Intelligence Community partners, other Federal agencies, and laboratory components to best identify and understand the national security threats facing the labs.
•Strong knowledge of USIC-standard research and analytical methodologies and approaches.
•Knowledge of global political, economic, social, cultural, scientific, geographic, fiscal and military conditions to evaluate information in light of the current international environment.
•Practical experience with the principles, practices, and methodology in the collection, analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and dissemination of national security information.
•Knowledge and familiarity with DOE CIs order and authorities preferred
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with others.
•Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills.
•Ability to work independently, as well as set and adhere to deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
•Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with flexibility to adapt as priorities change.
•Completion of formal training for Counterintelligence role.
