Job Description

We have an opening in Commercial Lending! We’re currently looking for a Commercial Lending Portfolio Manager to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Lender who wants to be part of a growing department within a growing financial institution. COVID-19 Note: This position will begin as a “work from home” opportunity then when we are able to work in the office (Fall 2021) you will be located in Gurnee, IL at CCU’s corporate office.

Your day-to-day will include:
Portfolio Management: monitoring and risk management of commercial real estate loans and depository relationships including developing and deepening the relationship with each borrower and conducting regular loan monitor reviews.
Originating New Loans: bringing in new commercial real estate (CRE) and commercial & industrial (C&I) loans.
Conducting Analysis: preparing annual and administrative reviews to assess client financial performance, covenant compliance and to update borrower risk ratings. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that reviews are completed within established target review dates.
Collections & Delinquency Management: collecting on past due loans and actively working with members whose financial condition is performing negatively. You’ll work with outside legal counsel in the preparation and review of attorney recommendations and approach.
Member Service: Providing prompt and accurate member support on loan or depository related questions or concerns.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related is preferred.
3+ years of experience in Credit Analysis, Commercial Lending, Commercial Loan Originations is required. 6+ years of experience in lieu of education.
Track record of successfully managing a diverse commercial lending book of business for a bank or credit union.
Ability to attract new business and secure new commercial loans.
A goal-driven, self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to understand how to effectively structure commercial loans.
Professional with high regard for maintaining confidentiality and acting with integrity.
Skilled in managing multiple tasks requiring attention to detail, analytical and research skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with members, colleagues, and others at all levels of an organization.
