Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Enjoy the freedom of working out of your place of residence. You’ll be using your
electrical/mechanical skills to perform field service functions of maintaining, inspecting,
troubleshooting, repairing, and refurbishing rack and pinion elevators installed in industrial
applications such as power plants, cement plants, bridges, etc. Strong mechanical and electrical
aptitude, knowledge of electric/mechanical theory and excellent customer service skills will be used
on the job. You’ll be equipped with a service vehicle along with an inventory of replacement parts
while traveling to customer locations to deliver service. The vehicle is driven back to your place of
residence after work. Flexible hours and overnight travel is a part of the job. Prior elevator experience
is highly valued, but on-the-job training is also available.

Job Overview:

? Examine, troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish rack & pinion elevators
? Use hand tools, power tools and electrical meters
? Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
? Properly complete paperwork, utilize computer software and online service system
? In a safe manner, climbs all structure types where rack and pinion elevators are installed
? Demonstrate safe work practices
? Travel for overnight and extended stays at various locations where work hours will
vary
? Attend customer and company required safety and continuing education, orientation
and site-specific classes
? Act in a professional manner in all communications and dealings with customers and
company personnel
? Maintain adequate communication with the Service Manager and office staff
? Follow high-quality work expectations that meets company standards
? Take proper care of company property, i.e. vans, tools, materials, etc
? Follow all company policies
