The Autonomous Systems Team is a small collaborative team of driven engineers responsible for developing and deploying software to enable our customers to fully utilize their autonomous vehicle’s hardware. The team’s mission is to simplify and advance vehicle technology to empower our customers to unleash autonomy while driving improved efficiency, productivity, quality, and safety.
We are looking for a Sr Controls Engineer role who will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks such as; creating and deploying vehicle dynamic control strategies, advising controls engineers, establishing engineering processes, simulation, coordinating with test engineering, on-vehicle testing, and evaluating new project scopes.
Design control strategies and algorithms for complex vehicle systems
Architect and deploy controllers for autonomous vehicle applications using MATLAB, Simulink, and C++
Demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, and diagrams to support problem analysis
Develop vehicle dynamics plant models
Develop controls testing pipeline with simulation environments
Deploy controls algorithms on embedded Linux controllers
Assist with controls algorithm integration into our proprietary autonomy stack
Contribute to customer documentation and training material for various software applications
Support field testing and troubleshooting of products by field technicians
Occasional on-vehicle testing of software releases, analysis of vehicle control behavior
Occasional on-vehicle software/hardware integration, debugging, and troubleshooting
Minimal international travel may be required
