Evergreen FS is a member of the GROWMARK system. * _Overview_* If you enjoy being outside and are interested in gaining hands-on Agronomy and Scouting experience, then we can’t wait to talk to you! We are looking for an Scouting & Agronomy Operations Intern that is eager to go above and beyond helping our customers. Learn and gain hands-on experience in all the aspects of crop scouting and agronomy operations. * Key Responsiblities* * Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting. * Utilize crop scouting technology to document all findings, completes inspection reports, and provides reports to Crop Specialists. * Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot fixed wing drones/quadcopter drones to collect field data, ground truth drone findings, and other field research responsibilities. * Utilize drones and other technologies to document field findings, complete inspection reports, and provides reports to agronomy staff. * Learn and assist in all areas of agronomy operations including product knowledge, blending, storage, transport. * Learn about the operation and application techniques for application equipment. * Attends scheduled technical training sessions and meetings. * Performs all other duties as assigned. * Required Qualifications* * Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and currently pursuing a degree or certification from a 2 or 4 – year college or university in good academic standing. * Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to travel independently as needed. * Occasionally exposed or required to work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.). * Must be able to walk crop fields and conduct visual inspections of crops. * Frequently required to lift 50 pounds or more. Frequently exposed to dust, heat, and high noise level. * Ability to work hours beyond those considered normal. * Must have the ability to obtain a drone license (FAA Part 107 sUAS license) Employment may be contingent upon receipt of an acceptable and job-related background check, drug test, motor vehicle report, and/or reference check, as applicable and permissible by law.
