PayPal, Inc. seeks Manager, Information Security 1 in Chicago, IL:

Job Duties: Utilize knowledge in information technology (IT) to design repeatable and sustainable information security processes that operationalize the risk management function. Operate in fast-paced, highly technological environment to mitigate risk on information systems. Participate in the development and refinement of Technology Risk Portfolio Management processes and cadences. Drive awareness of Technology Risk Management within TPX through coaching, training, communicating, and workshops. Leverage existing PayPal ERM tools and processes to enhance information security. Understand and apply the enterprise policies, procedures, standards, and framework for information systems governance, risk, & compliance. Collaborate with key stakeholders to gain a common understanding of the control breakdowns or missing controls to define a specific commitment to strengthen the control or implement the missing control. Collaborate with key stakeholders to break down the specific commitment into Remediation Plans with milestones and target dates. Communicate and evangelize the Risk Portfolio Management team’s vision and mission; and to partner organizations that the team will interact with regularly. Participate in cadences with partner organizations in appropriate business and technology areas. Construct and maintain an evolving inventory of incidents to issues log with decisions. Develop and evolve information security capabilities and services to operate the Risk Portfolio Management function successfully and efficiently.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience in the field of risk or data analysis or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline plus six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of risk or data analysis.

Special Skill Requirements:
(1) SQL;
(2) Oracle;
(4) HTML;
(5) Java;
(6) Jira;
(7) Unix/Linux;
(8) Google Cloud.

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Experience can be gained through academic coursework, scholastic achievement, or work experience.
