Christie Clinic’s Infusion Center is seeking a full-time RN/Admin Coordinator at the Main Clinic, Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm. Duties include supervision over the Infusion Center staff and acting as a liaison between department staff, patients, and providers as well as the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Graduation from an accredited college/school of nursing, possession of an Illinois State Registered Nurse License, ACLS certification, and proficient IV skills is required. Supervisory and training experience is preferred.
Act as a time clock manager.
Approve staff member vacation and time off requests. Request float staff as needed.
Interview prospective staff members. Oversee the training of new staff members.
Perform conflict control throughout the department.
Conduct monthly staff meetings.
Attend coordinator meetings as required. Following coordinator meetings, inform employees on any new information pertinent to their position.
Create and maintain budget.
Conduct job evaluations and ensure that employees are up to date on department policies and procedures.
Appease patient complaints.
Prevent distractions within the department and keep employees on task.
Oversee all operational functions of the office practice.
Perform related work as required.
Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.
Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.
Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.
Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.
Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.
Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment.
Administer IV’s for Phlebotomy.
Perform related work as directed, by coordinator and as required.
Maintain and update patient medical record upon visit.
Maintain relevant IV supplies, medications, and office supplies for department effectiveness.
Graduation from an accredited college/school of nursing
Evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s
Proficient IV skills
Possession of an Illinois State Registered Nurse License
