Academic Term Fall Anticipated Schedule Hours will be determined upon the need of the Advising Center and the student employee’s class schedule. Monday-Friday Work Week 0-20 Hours Work Week-Other Information Application Review Begins Special Instructions to Applicants

Position Introduction
This student employment position is within our Advising Center. Student Employment at MCC requires the following:

  • Background Check
  • Completion of New Employee Training
  • Must be currently enrolled in at least 3 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above – if this is your first semester at MCC, the GPA requirement is waived
  • If you qualify for Federal Work Study, you will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds
    Position Summary
    Provides assistance in the Advising Center.
    Reports to
    Director of Student Success
    Essential Functions and Responsibilities
    Staff the Advising Center front desk Greet students, parents, and community members Schedule advising appointments Answer phones and check voicemails Assist with basic office tasks such as photocopying, filing, and mailings Handle confidential materials Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
    Required Education
    High School graduate or equivalent
    Other Required Qualifications
Desired Qualifications Skills and Specifications Excellent English communication skills Ability to sit, walk and stand up to 4 hours Ability to use Microsoft Office Products Ability to use office equipment (fax, copier, etc) Location Main Campus
