Position Introduction
Develop, create, and evaluate programs for all pre-college students in our community.
Position Summary
The Coordinator of P-20 Partnerships and Outreach will champion MCC to our county’s pre-college students. The Coordinator will develop, organize, coordinate, and evaluate programs and events for students Kindergarten through 12th grade, including home schooled children. The Coordinator will manage processes related to our various dual credit/dual enrollment programs. Working collaboratively with other MCC departments, the Coordinator will plan and deliver quality events related to the education community, while promoting the College to future students throughout the College community.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee large-scale events, including but not limited to, GEMS conference, Career Exploration camp, and high school competitions hosted for the county
  • Partner with other departments in planning, marketing, and recruiting for various events, including but not limited to, Sophomore Career Day, Middle School Career Expo, Homeschool events, and Manufacturing Pathways Consortium
  • Work with the Director to identify opportunities to expand partnerships, create strategies for K-12 enrollment, and implement initiatives
  • Utilize appropriate databases to track, communicate, and report various data related to the department of College and Career Readiness and grant reporting
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to potential partners, clients, and key stakeholders
  • Organize and process the registration related to the College and Career Readiness department, including but not limited to, dual credit/dual enrollment, roster modification, Running Start enrollment, PCCS registration, and Dual Degree student engagement
  • Collaborate with College departments to coordinate and update all social media and web communications related to outreach and event initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to communicate and execute outcomes in College and Career Readiness programming
  • Assist with development of division publications and other ongoing communications.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with faculty, students, alumni, and community partners.
  • Work collaboratively with others (e.g. colleagues, stakeholders, vendors) to accomplish functions and responsibilities
  • Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
    Required Education
    Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution
    Other Required Qualifications
  • At least one year’s experience in education and/or program development
  • Experience implementing large-scale events and/or managing complex projects
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners
    Desired Qualifications
  • Verbal and written fluency in Spanish
  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
