Job Description

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Strategy & Analytics, Analytics & Cognitive in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive advisory and implementation services of large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data, to generate insights leveraging various platforms to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments for the Insurance, Financial Services, Healthcare, State and Local Government, Telecom, and Retail industries. Modernize our clients business and core environments to leverage technology innovations across multiple platforms; drive operational efficiency by maintaining their data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise for continuous insights and improvements. Perform data management, such as master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality, data modeling while utilizing technologies. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Lead various aspects of the full data delivery lifecycle for implementations, which may include requirements gathering, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues. Develop “point-of-view” documents related to trending topics (such as cloud, machine learning, and the Internet of Things); quickly adopt emerging technological trends (such as predictive analytics, cognitive analytics, or machine learning) to develop creative solutions to pressing issues. Provide industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modeling tools to produce analysis and algorithms; consolidate the inferences to present recommendations to senior management and executives to enable critical decision making.

80% Travel required nationally.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field and two (2) years of work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following: Taking the lead on various aspects of the full data delivery lifecycle for implementations, including requirements gathering, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations, and urgent issues, utilizing JIRA and Monday.com; Designing and implementing reporting and visualization for unstructured and structured data sets, utilizing Tableau Reporting and Microsoft (MS) SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS); Working across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall lifecycle to design, develop, test, and implement Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Analytics and Data Integration solutions for enterprise-level clients in the Real Estate and Development industry; Performing data analysis, including inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modeling for enabling data mining and resolving data mapping and data modeling issues, utilizing MS Excel, and MySQL (Structured Query Language); Providing insights into businesses, utilizing data modeling statistical tools SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL; Building reports and data models in MySQL and Tableau based on performance measurement metrics, allowing for business and technical users to provide insights into the organizations data; and Developing, testing, and automating ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) procedures utilizing Tableau Prep to perform data warehousing and data integration functions.
