Job Description

Christie Clinic’s department of Information Management & Analytics is seeking candidates for a Manager of Data Analytics. The Manager of Data Analytics applies analytical and problem-solving skills to turn raw data into actionable information for users across the organization. This individual will collaborate with internal customers to translate clinical and business requirements into meaningful analysis with expertise in multiple data sources. You will apply business knowledge and data analysis to identify trends in areas such as operational volumes, utilization, access, revenue cycle, clinical outcomes, and quality. The Data Analytics Manager will develop appropriate relationships with internal customers and work to ensure that projects are correctly resourced, accurate, and delivered on time.


Collaborate with business stakeholders across the organization to understand analytics needs, develop plans to address those needs, and deliver analytics to meet those needs.
Work with business, technical and functional teams to define and create reports and dashboards that support operations.
Identifies relevant data from multiple sources, models and analyzes the data, and presents the data in a way that allows for effective decision making.
Designs and develops SQL queries, extracts data from databases and analyzes the data using a variety of analytical techniques
Effectively interprets and communicates meaningful trends and variations in data
Identify and perform root-cause analysis of data irregularities and present findings and proposed solutions to leadership and customers.
Ensures that reporting requests are correctly prioritized, accurate, and timely.
Actively participates in analytics initiatives and leadership meetings as needed.
Innovates with new tools to support the analytics strategy
Develop training programs that ensure customers can effectively utilize the analytics tools developed.
Stays current with industry analytical methods and technologies
Perform related work as required.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics, or relevant field preferred.
Three (3) years of experience with data analytics, data modeling, and database architecture
Demonstrated experience with SQL
Epic Clarity and Caboodle certification upon hire is strongly preferred, required within the first six (6) months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree – MBA, Health Administration, Computer Science, or related
Experience in the healthcare industry with knowledge of the terminology and concepts used in healthcare
Experience with electronic medical records, EPIC experience strongly preferred.
An understanding of Value-Based Care and clinical quality metrics
Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI
