The Senior Manager in Global Medical Publications will ensure that medical and scientific results from Novartis Gene Therapies studies and other research are communicated in an accurate, timely, compliant and compelling manner. The successful candidate will play a supporting role in the development of global medical publications, including congress abstracts, posters, and oral presentations, and manuscripts submitted to peer-review medical and scientific journals for publication.

Responsibilities

+ Support the development of the global medical plans and publications of data for the assigned disease area and/or brand/molecule.

+ Review accuracy of publications content.

+ Support Global Medical Publications Team in updating and maintaining publication bibliographies, repositories, and related SharePoint folders.

+ Support Global Medical Publications Team in addressing copyright and citation issues in publications and scientific communications work.

+ Provide proofreading and related support to meet medical journal production requirements for Novartis Gene Therapies publications.

+ Interface and effectively collaborate with external stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams including: clinical research, clinical operations, regulatory, safety, biostatistics, HEOR, and RWE, to ensure accurate and timely completion/delivery of medical and scientific publications.

+ Track and update medical publications impact through a variety of metrics.

Qualifications

+ Advanced degree (PharmD) or equivalent preferred, with minimum of 3 years within bio-pharmaceutical industry required.

+ Ability to work on several projects at once while balancing multiple and overlapping timelines.

+ Impeccable attention to detail and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with minimal oversight.

+ Successful track record of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

+ Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe software.

The level of this position will be based on the final candidate’s qualifications.
