The System Vice President will provides leadership for laboratory services in accordance with CommonSpirit Health (CSH) policies and procedures and regulatory agencies. Provides leadership for the CSH Laboratory Council directing the council to promote operational excellence, cost effectiveness and high quality, patient-centric lab services across CommonSpirit by identification and implementation of accepted best practices, the adoption of innovative technology and reduction in variability.

Provides guidance and support on a wide range of laboratory projects, including but not limited to: SSRM/Supply Chain initiatives, productivity, care management, revenue capture, standardization, risk management, leadership development, information systems, staff development, and capital acquisition.

Responsibilities

+ Provides leadership in the development of CSH laboratory service line strategy.

+ Provides guidance to departmental directors and ensures that they adhere to quality and service standards.

+ Organizes monthly and ad hoc CSH Lab Council meetings.

+ Coordinates CSH Task Forces for the purpose of RFPs and standardization of laboratory testing platforms, methods kits, practices and processes.

+ Leads laboratory Value Capture efforts.

+ Leads laboratory operational efficiency and optimization efforts.

+ Serves as CSH consultative services for laboratory efforts.

Qualifications

+ Required Masters or Post Graduate degree; a degree in medical technology;

+ Minimum of 10 years’ experience in discipline and 7 years leadership experience.

+ Active Medical Technology or MLS (ASCP) certification
