The Supply Chain Analyst role is part of a new business unit at Bimbo Bakeries, USA to support the growth of the warehouse channel of distribution. This multi-faceted role is an integral part of the supply chain and will be responsible for customer and inbound order management, inventory reconciliation, and logistics planning.The scope of the role includes facilitating the order to cash process (i.e., invoicing and deductions) in addition to coordinating the manufacturing and distribution flow of inventory to customer through our 3PL distribution partners.

Key Job Responsibilities:Customer Order Management:Manages order processing and order life cycle (orders through EDI and direct from customer)Act as direct line of communication with customersCreates purchase orders in oracle and ensure all comply with SOP validationsDevelops the weekly production plan in accordance to customer forecasted demandFacilitates the distribution of customer purchase orders to 3PL and dedicated carrier baseVerifies the shipment confirmation of all weekly orders and confirms the accuracy for invoicingCommunicate with customers, 3PL and the management team to ensure necessary requirements are metMaintain and publish metrics to report and manage operational efficacyManage resolution of PO/AR discrepanciesAssist with customer logistics survey to monitor compliance and satisfactionTrack and manage proof of delivery documents to shared site for Accounts receivable processing

Inventory:Daily inventory management including receiving, inventory reconciliation, monthly inventory audit, inventory comparison with third party warehouse, and resolving inventory discrepanciesCoordinate with manufacturing the system release of inventory that triggers interplant transfers to 3PLCommunicate with warehouse, production plant, and sales team regarding current inventory on-hand and potential issues with sales ordersPerform system inventory movements that align with the orders allocated at 3PLAssist with the implementation of inventory controls and best practicesTroubleshoot, proactively track and trace and coordinate cycle counts as requiredMaintain inventory “health” reporting and communication

Supply Chain OperationsAct as the liaison between the production plant and corporate supply chainEngage the warehouse and transportation teams on daily matters as requiredEstablish weekly supply chain protocols and communication with all support streamsAddresses various internal and external customer concerns regarding shipments, status, services, and other needs including customer chargebacks/Off-invoice/credit memosUnder the direction of Manager, responsible for logging and following up with preferred carrier for damaged and lost product claims to ensure reimbursement is issuedWork cross-functionally with business unit leads, Sales Center/Route teams, and bakeries to streamline supply chain

Job Requirements

Education and Work History:Bachelor’s degree required. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.

Professional background:1 – 4 years of experience with inventory control in a warehouse environmentWorking knowledge of consumer, food manufacturing, 3PL and supply chainCustomer service experience

Technical background:Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Advanced Excel)Microsoft Access and Power Point is preferredWorking knowledge of ERP (Oracle experience is a plus)Knowledge of shipping software (Oracle Transportation Management) is preferred
