Registered Nurse, Neurosurgery, Westchester – (80518)

Position Highlights:

+ Position: Registered Nurse, Neurosurgery, Medical Group

+ Location: 1 Westbrook Corporate Center, Westchester

+ Full Time/Part Time: Full-time, 40 hours per week

+ Hours: Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

+ Required Travel: Travel to other sites will be required

What you will need:

+ License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required

+ Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred

+ Certification: BLS/CPR certification required (American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider)

+ Experience: 1 year of nursing experience in an office or hospital setting preferred

+ Skills: N/A

What you will do:

+ Provide professional nursing care services under the direction of the office Practice Manager and Physicians

+ Place patients in exam rooms, obtain vitals and medical/surgical history on patients.

+ Provide phone triage, test results, medication refills, prior authorizations, carry out physician orders, conveys plans of care and patient education/teaching

+ Complete FMLA paperwork, sign physical therapy notes and surgical authorization forms to gain approvals for surgeries with the insurance companies.

+ Review and respond to NorthShore Connect messages from patients

+ Chart in Epic

+ Basic wound care treatment including suture and staple removal
