We are looking for a Senior User Experience (UX) Researcher to join our team of passionate professionals obsessed about quality, usability, and simplicity. We will expect you to deliver actionable and meaningful data-driven insights that we’ll use to create intuitive, innovative, and beautiful human experiences.

Who You Are: A seasoned UX researcher capable of being the research lead for a single client or project. Works closely with the design team in exploring, crafting, and validating the user/customer experience. Will have regular interactions with the client and be capable of being a research lead for a client or project team. Work You’ll Do

+ Partner with stakeholders and project team members in extracting research questions and objectives.

+ Plan, execute, analyze, and report findings for generative and evaluative research studies with limited oversight.

+ Work with stakeholders, external vendors, or self-directed efforts to recruit participants.

+ Deliver actionable insights to enhance the human experience for users.

+ Balance rigor and pragmatism in planning the proper study for a given timeframe and budget.

+ Lead workshops that enable your teams and stakeholders to build clarity and alignment, including a design culture of critiques, testing, research, and education.

Required Qualifications

+ 5+ years of professional experience conducting both generative and evaluative UX research.

+ Sound understanding of generative and evaluative approaches including qualitative methods such as ethnography, contextual inquiry, interviews, usability testing, lab/remote sessions, and experience with some quantitative methods utilized by UX researchers.

+ Demonstrated experience in leading research studies with limited oversight.

+ Ability to articulate the pros and cons of research method(s) so that the broader team can make informed decisions.

+ Superior communication skills and storytelling ability. You can adequately contextualize research insights and articulate your thoughts clearly to non-research stakeholders.

+ A demonstrated understanding of UX design principles.

+ Proven ability to be a contributing member of a cross-functional team and inspire team confidence in and respect for the contributions of research to enhance the user experience and drive impact.

+ Capacity to handle multiple research studies at the same time.

+ Superior attention to detail and the ability to translate research findings into actionable insights for non-researchers.

+ Have a curious, optimistic, and resourceful mindset.

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

+ Ability to travel X-X%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Bonus Points

+ Experience in the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data through Excel, SPSS, or R.

+ Ability to apply statistical principles to the planning and analysis of UX research data and being able to translate that data into meaningful insights for project stakeholders.

+ Experience in mentoring junior research staff.

+ Familiarity with scoping research studies.

+ Experience with UX research tools such as UserTesting, UserZoom, Optimal Workshop, Qualtrics, Maze, Mural, etc.
