Job Description

Professional Tools has an immediate need for an EDI Support Specialist located in Elyria, OH, or Rockford, IL. The EDI Support Specialist works closely with customers (distributors), ship-direct suppliers, IT business analysts, and various other departments in electronic communication of purchase orders, advance ship notices, invoices, product availability, and other business transaction data. This position is responsible for collaborating with current and proposed trading partners, evaluating requests, prioritizing projects, and communicating proactively with internal and external stakeholders. This position ensures all intended outbound and inbound EDI data is transmitted successfully, engaging the technical EDI team as necessary. This position builds strong, collaborative relationships with customers, ship-direct suppliers, and internal departments to fully understand EDI needs, and to prioritize and manage EDI projects. This position is exposed to, and must understand, the processes used by multiple functions and systems for successful EDI.

AS A GLOBAL EDI COORDINATOR, YOU WILL:

+ Serve as a project lead to prioritize global EDI customer requests, and prepare project status and KPI reports.

+ Serve as a liaison between North American customers and Pro Tools EDI Technical Support:

+ Work with internal and external stakeholders throughout the implementation to effectively resolve setup, data, and coding discrepancies.

+ Execute onboarding process for new EDI trading partners and changes.

+ Collaborate with EDI Technical Support on end-to-end testing for new partners, changes to existing transaction maps, and problem-solving.

+ Own customer EDI issues and act as the subject matter expert; escalate issues as necessary.

+ Monitor daily transactions and process exceptions and determine the root cause for correction.

+ Identify trends in EDI failures, troubleshoot, and make recommendations to trade partners and teammates (IT) on solutions.

+ Develop and maintain process documentation and document customer specification and Professional Tools data sources (i.e. JDE, independent tables).

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am – 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, &SKILLS:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and two (2)+ years of EDI work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ At least two (2) years of customer-facing service experience

+ Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

+ Must demonstrate good organizational and follow-up skills and work independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to balance multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to tight schedules

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Software

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, &SKILLS:

+ Experience with Sterling EDI Software and JD Edwards order processing

+ Project management experience
