Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil Engineering Manager reporting to our Bloomington, IL office with the flexibility to be based in Peoria or Champaign, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for providing our private owners and municipal clients with cost effective, user friendly, and attractive developments as well as developing new client relationships.A typical day of a Civil Engineering Manager:
+ Plan, design and manage a variety of private owner driven civil engineering projects
+ Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines and client consultants
+ Attend city staff and council/ board meetings
+ Communicate with clients regarding current and future projects
+ Organize and complete projects from inception to completion
+ Develop and mentor staff
+ Prepare project proposals
+ Assist with business development efforts
Specific Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
+ 15 plus years of civil engineering experience
+ Professional Engineer (PE) License
+ Experience working with private owner projects and clients
+ Proven leadership skills with engineering staff
+ Ability to effectively manage clients and participate in business development activities
+ Strong team player that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
+ AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required
+ Contract and negotiating skills
+ Sanitary sewer, water line and storm water management design experience a plus
