The Faculty Information Systems Coordinator will primarily be responsible for managing faculty activity and reporting through digital systems. The Coordinator will serve as a data steward for the electronic faculty activity reporting system including, but not limited to, importing data from other campus information systems, modifying the configuration of the database in response to changing campus needs, creating report templates, generating data reports, and conducting technical troubleshooting. The Coordinator will also develop campus communication mechanisms and oversee training and support to faculty, administrators, and staff. In addition, the Coordinator will be responsible for creating, conducting, and disseminating assessments and evaluations of office-related programs such as workshops and training events, and other duties as assigned to support office workflows and data needs

The Coordinator will work closely with key stakeholders to determine system effectiveness and demands and should be familiar with information confidentiality standards. The Coordinator will possess significant understanding of faculty organization and administrative leadership and be a campus expert on faculty activity reporting. They will work collaboratively with members of the Office of Faculty Affairs and the broader campus, particularly the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and the Office of Information Technology.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years related experience.

+ Experience with database management systems

+ Understanding of systems configuration, integration, and data transfer

+ Expertise in navigating information systems and querying databases for data retrieval

+ Knowledge of programming or scripting languages

+ Experience merging, manipulating, coding, and validating data from various sources, including relational databases

+ Expertise in electronic survey software programs

+ Comprehension of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methods

+ Knowledge of survey design and data collection

+ Ability to develop innovative new programs and services, evaluate their effectiveness, and implement changes as needed to make improvements

+ Ability to maintain attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

+ Ability to foster cooperative cross-functional working relationships with faculty, administrators, and staff of diverse backgrounds and perspectives

+ Commitment to providing excellent customer service to individuals seeking technical/system support

Preferred

+ Experience with university data systems, and in particular, faculty data systems and/or Interfolio (F180 & RPT ).

+ Knowledge of emerging information technologies and information management tools

+ Understanding of information security and privacy

+ Proficiency in office productivity software programs

+ Knowledge of institutional policies and procedures

+ Proficiency in data analysis and reporting

+ Ability to automate and streamline processes and achieve operational efficiencies

+ Ability to multi-task and work with self-direction under minimal supervision

+ Proficiency in problem-solving, creative and analytical thinking, and strategic decision-making

+ Ability to create a shared vision and inspire stakeholders to build consensus

+ Proficiency in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, including the ability to present complex information to a wide range of audiences

+ Skill in conducting formal presentations and training workshops

+ Ability to handle confidential material and work with utmost discretion
