Job Description

The Systems Integration and Technical Support Engineer is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting complex issues with wireless sensing products and systems. This critical member of the applications team will provide direct support to technical defense and commercial customers.

This role requires extensive critical thinking and a deep understanding of RF and IT systems to provide a world class level of support for Epiq Solutions’ customers.

In addition to directly supporting end users and installation teams, the Systems Integration and Technical Support Engineer heavily collaborates with sales, engineering, product management and field service to find effective resolutions, identify and track trends, build reports, contribute to documentation and training content, and more.

This new role is ideal for highly collaborative individuals who are curious by nature and want to work with highly technical customers on cutting-edge RF technology.


  • Providing direct support to Epiq Solutions’ customers
  • Triaging reported issues
  • Identifying areas to examine, taking and analyzing measurements and logs
  • Troubleshooting Linux-based systems for networking and system integration issues
  • Determining next steps and resolutions to issues
  • Researching issues and solutions including using test equipment to try to reproduce issues
  • Keeping accurate and complete records of the entire engagement with customers
  • Providing feedback to engineering and product management on product issues, trends and improvement recommendations


  • Familiarity of theory of operation of Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi®, and 4G and 5G networks
  • Experience troubleshooting systems involving many connection points
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts, OSI model, and practical experience with enterprise networks
  • Familiarity with Linux and capable of using a Linux shell to take logs, run scripts, and diagnose issues
  • Ability to independently make decisions and solve problems with limited direction
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills suitable for frequent direct contact with technical and non-technical customers
  • Understanding of a technical support environment and processes, including ability to document case histories clearly, accurately and with detail
  • Experience in a software development or IT service delivery environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in a technical or science field, e.g. Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or another relevant field
  • ITIL certification a plus
  • Candidate must hold or at a minimum be able to obtain a US government security clearance (which requires US citizenship)
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time
