Privacy Policy is a site where job seekers, employers, and others can use labor exchange functions and find labor market information about Illinois. We believe that those who use our website will find it beneficial and we urge everyone to use and enjoy our website. Our site is based on interactive online media and we want all of our users to know how to safeguard information and their privacy when online.

Our site is comprised of several components. A major component is Job Match. This interactive web application, known as, is created to bring Illinois job seekers and employers together. A job seeker can post and update a personal resume and an employer can post and update job listings via the interactive, online application. Matches are made between job seekers and employers based on resume and job opening high-level classifications using standard occupation codes and providing an analysis of how well the jobseekers' experience, education, and skills align with the qualifications employers are seeking in their job postings. Jobseekers and employers may also contact each other directly via email to pursue application for open job positions.

A second major component is Case Management. This interactive web application allows workforce professionals to track their clients and to report the information required under federally funded employment programs. Known as ServiceLink, it provides a standardized system for following participants through the workforce services network. Case managers can manage and monitor caseloads by assessing employment barriers, establishing service and employment plans, referring to service partners, and tracking job placements. ServiceLink then uses that information to create the reports required by the federal government under the Wagner-Peyser Act.

Either component can be used independently of the other. Those using the Job Match component only are not tracked in the Case Management component and those entered into the Case Management component only do not have an active resume in the Job Match component. We are committed to maintaining the privacy of personal and private information that you provide in creating accounts, resumes, and job listings and in using our website.

What Information Is Collected?

This Privacy Policy covers's treatment of personally identifiable information that is collected when you are on the site and when you use's services. Our policy is to collect information required to provide services and to maintain the site. collects personally identifiable information when you create an account, including names, addresses, telephone numbers, and Social Security Numbers.

We ask for and collect information from you in different ways. If you are a user of our Job Match, when you create your account you provide certain personally identifying information such as your name, business name, address, telephone numbers and e-mail address. You may create an electronic resume or job listing to be stored online with us in which we collect basic profile information. While the registration process includes items such as: citizen, gender, race, Social Security Number, FEIN, SEIN, and age, this information is only used to fulfill reporting requirements and is not released.

We automatically collect IP addresses and website usage information when you visit our website. This information helps us evaluate how our visitors use and navigate our website on an aggregate basis, including the number and frequency of visitors to each web page, and the length of their visits. When you use some of the site's features, such as creating an account, completing a resume, or reporting client activities, we will collect personally identifiable information from you that may include your name, age, address, e-mail address, and facts about your career and interests as well as similar information. We do not, however, knowingly collect personal information from minors under the age of sixteen who have not shown they may be lawfully employed.

We may pass cookies to your computer. Cookies are information files that your web browser places on the hard drive of your computer or temporarily in your computer's memory when you visit the website. Some of the data we collect is used in the aggregate to allow us to better understand how our service is used. We do not disclose information about individual visits or share other private information with outside parties without prior authorization from the individual and will not use this data for any commercial purpose. The principal use of information is for the purposes for which you specifically provided the information in Job Match or Case Management. Information collected is used to create a personal profile or job listing to post in our searchable database on our servers. We are not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy practices of any employer or other outside party to whom you have authorized your contact or other personal information to be sent. You may choose to restrict the display of your personally identifiable information in Job Match by selecting the level of disclosure to employers or other outside parties. You may also access, amend, or delete any part of your personal and other account information at any time.

How is Data Secured?

To ensure that personally identifiable information collected in Job Match and Case Management is protected, has implemented security measures that include limiting the people who have physical access to our database servers, installing electronic security using 128 byte encryption SSL and individual password protection to guard against unauthorized access for all accounts. Only you or others to whom you have provided your password may access your account. Please remember that you play a valuable part in security as well. After you have finished using your account, you should log off and exit your browser to help prevent unauthorized persons from accessing your account information. provides links to other websites that may have their own information collection practices.
