Position Overview

The Office of Inspector General is seeking to hire a self-motivated, knowledgeable, ambitious, detail-oriented Office Associate for Bureau of Investigations in Chicago. Under general supervision this position provides clerical support to the Bureau Chief and investigative staff; composes and keyboards final investigative summaries and cover memos; maintains and updates office records such as timekeeping and databases; monitors and screens telephone calls; and orders office supplies.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provides clerical support to the Bureau Chief and investigative staff.

  2. Composes and keyboards final investigative summaries and cover memos..

  3. Maintains and updates office records such as timekeeping and databases.

  4. Monitors and screens telephone calls.

  5. Orders office supplies.

  6. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications

  1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.

  2. Requires two years of office experience.

  3. Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm.
