The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the managing director of finance, you will join the team as Head of Financial Close and Reporting, providing support to and is a critical part of the Company’s finance department.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
+ Oversee the preparation and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting on US statutory, international IFRS and Canadian P& C 2 accounting basis, including the closing activities required for the preparation
+ Monitor and analyze financial data in order to make recommendations to business stakeholders
+ Implement and maintain proper accounting methods and policies that align with the required accounting guidance by staying up to date on any accounting changes
+ Manage relationship with external auditors and various state Departments of Insurance
+ Support the completion of the accounting and reporting of the investment portfolio and various data calls
+ Effectively lead and develop a staff of accounting professionals
RequirementsWhat You’ll Bring to the Role
+ Minimum 7 to 10 years insurance accounting experience required
+ ICOFR Experience, Statutory Accounts Preparations, IFRS Accounting Background required
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills required
+ Experience in project management along with collaboration skills
+ Tech savvy in Excel and Word and ability to learn new systems
+ Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business,
+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
+ Masters in Business Administration and experience working for an international organization preferred
