Electrical Technician I

Job Description

Qualifications:

+ A minimum of 2 years working experience in Electrical System functions and the Electrical Industry (required).

+ Technical college diploma or military training in related field (required)

+ Knowledge of electrical controls and electrical high and low voltage systems with training in OSHA general industry electrical safety standards. (preferred)

+ Training in NEC National electrical code and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements (required)

+ Previous training in NFPA 70E electrical Arc Flash requirements (preferred)

+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

+ Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints. (preferred)

+ Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

+ Basic understanding of 48V D.C. applications.

+ Basic electric experience in both A.C. and D.C. and hands on experience in troubleshooting A.C. circuits. (preferred)

+ Working knowledge of thermal imaging test equipment.

+ Must possess a valid state Driver’s License and provide proof of liability coverage meeting Company standards.

+ Basic Electrical, Mechanical and HVAC knowledge (preferred).

+ OSHA 10 certification (required).

Working conditions:

+ The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounter while performing the essential functions of the job

+ While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet, hot, extreme cold and/or humid conditions; and moving mechanical parts and may be required to work in confined spaces.

+ The associate works non-traditional business hours including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and on-call.

+ The associate may occasionally be required to travel to other operating companies or the corporate office as business needs dictate (i.e. training, business continuation, etc.)

+ The associate is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and confined spaces

+ The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles

+ The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
