ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - IT (SAP COE): AbbVie Inc. - Vernon Hills, IL

Lead, participate in, and coordinate the end-to-end execution of Record to Report (RTR) solutions, related projects and technology implementations. Responsible for overseeing the work product of five (5) direct reports (Technology Architect, Sr. Business System Specialist, Assoc. Business Systems Consultant, SAP Principal Consultant – Treasury, and SAP RTR Product Costing and Margin Accounting). Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, SOX compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle. Align department priorities appropriately, determining critical success factors, evaluating, and pursuing initiatives based on fit with strategies. Responsible for recommending technical solutions to business problems utilizing experience with SAP system configuration and implementation in the areas of  Financial Modules of ECC and S/4 Hana including FI General Ledger Accounting, FI Accounts Payable, FI Accounts Receivable, FI AA Asset Accounting, FI Tax Accounting, FI Bank Accounting, FI Profit Center Accounting, FI Special Purpose Ledger, Product Costing, Material Ledger with Actual costing ,Group costing, Margin accounting ,Cost center Accounting, Internal Order, COPA, SAP treasury and associated various connected applications and Financial Reporting.  Provide SAP business support for RTR processes. Responsible for business process re-engineering and process improvement for broad-based information systems; development of cost effective, efficient, and re-usable systems designs compliant with architectural principles and standards. Design, test and document system configuration and technical specifications. Accountable for maintainability, reliability, and availability of systems solutions relative to business expectations. Demonstrate creative thinking to solve difficult problems and champion new technologies to achieve project goals. Oversee and control project capital/RCE expenditures & ROI by developing, monitoring and meeting expense and recovery plans, continually looking for opportunities for cost reductions and cost avoidance. Establish and maintain high-quality relationships with all levels across the company and with external partners. Work with a matrixed team of Business and BTS resources to ensure the efficient operation of the assigned function. Act as the voice of customer within broader IT organization.  Accountable for delivering robust system solutions for Finance while maximizing the usage of enterprise applications and keeping the Finance Operating Model in place utilizing SAP software (SAP ECC and SAP S/4 HANA), SAP FICO, and SAP ASAP methodology including Applications, Integration, Data, Security, Change Management, Training, and Communications. Work with business to transform their finance function/processes by leveraging SAP applications to enhance their core transaction processing and reporting competencies. Lead SAP Finance projects on General Ledger Accounting, Intercompany, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, Treasury, Product Costing including Material ledger and Actual Costing, Group costing, Margin accounting, COPA, Intercompany etc., using extensive knowledge of SAP FICO application-based solutions and proficiency in multiple SAP modules. Design, build, test, and deploy SAP FICO technical solutions including complex reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms in different processes involving deep business expertise and process optimization. Responsible for process expertise and solution design in SAP FICO and integration with other SAP modules such as SAP Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Manufacturing, SAP tools such as Solution Manager and non-SAP tools such as Vertex, Blackline, Kyriba, etc.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Information Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a highly related field of study with five (5) years of related experience in: (i) leading, participate in, and coordinate the end-to-end execution of Record to Report (RTR) solutions, related projects and technology implementations; (ii) recommending technical solutions to business problems utilizing experience with SAP system configuration and implementation in the areas of  Financial Modules of ECC and S/4 Hana including FI General Ledger Accounting, FI Accounts Payable, FI Accounts Receivable, FI AA Asset Accounting, FI Tax Accounting, FI Bank Accounting, FI Profit Center Accounting, FI Special Purpose Ledger, Product Costing, Material Ledger with Actual costing, Group costing, Margin accounting ,Cost center Accounting, Internal Order, COPA, SAP treasury and associated various connected applications and Financial Reporting; (iii) overseeing and controlling project capital/RCE expenditures & ROI by developing, monitoring and meeting expense and recovery plans, continually looking for opportunities for cost reductions and cost avoidance; (iv) delivering robust system solutions for Finance while maximizing the usage of enterprise applications and keeping the Finance Operating Model in place utilizing SAP software (SAP ECC and SAP S/4 HANA), SAP FICO, and SAP ASAP methodology including Applications, Integration, Data, Security, Change Management, Training, and Communications; and (v) process expertise and solution design in SAP FICO and integration with other SAP modules such as SAP Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Manufacturing, SAP tools such as Solution Manager and non-SAP tools such as Vertex, Blackline, Kyriba, etc.
