CTG is seeking an experiencedCerner Biomedical Integration Analystfor remote role.

Contract Length:18 months, Full time Consulting

Location:After an initial Knowledge Transfer period of 2 to 4 weeks at the client site, work will be performed primarily in a remote model with periodic trips to the client site as needed.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Technical Partner for the client Clinical Technology Services (Biomed) team. CTS has the final responsibility for devices, and the analyst supports CareAware, Welch Allyn Vitals Link, and RIS interfaces from McKesson PACS
  • Connect medical devices, such as ventilators and monitors, to the client’s EMR via CareAware iBus. Test/troubleshoot issues with connections as needed
  • Will work to migrate to the cloud in conjunction with Cerner code upgrade
  • Complete daily application maintenance tasks as assigned; restart the gateway when vital signs are not crossing
  • Document issues and solutions in the ITSM application Remedy; Utilize system to track issue status and work volume
  • Participate in the day-to-day tracking and follow-up on issues and questions of daily operations.
  • Validate and support system testing efforts
  • Work with client users and functional teams as needed
  • Escalate issues to the vendor as needed, and monitor vendor tickets for resolution
  • Participate in a 24/7 after hours on call rotation

Primary Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience in build and support of biomedical device integration and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of inbound and outbound processing on Cerner CareAware iBUS platform
  • Able to create, configure, and modify interfaces and containers in Cerner iCommand
  • Experience supporting CareAware, Welch Allyn Vitals Link
  • Knowledge of interface monitoring tools, including all levels of Millenium logging and Olympus server monitoring
  • Abie to review interface design spec and integrate external applications with the Cerner Millennium Suite
  • Experience supporting interfaces from McKesson PACS driven RIS
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to communicate resolutions to customers

Secondary Skills:

  • In depth knowledge of clinical workflows preferred
  • Experience on an acquisitions team
  • Knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • On Call Rotations will be required
