BCD Travel USA LLC in Chicago, Illinois is looking for Vice President, Sales & Solutions Design, to perform the following job duties: Manages and directs the execution of sales plans, solution designs and initiatives for Meetings Management clients and prospects, including coordination of global and multi-national clients with a base in North America. This role establishes sales targets to meet company objectives and leads a team of solution designers and sales enablement to support the end-to end sales process. Leads and guides forward thinking strategies for our SMM clients and prospects, identifies gaps and works closely with Solution Designers and Performance Optimization team to ensure we have a full suite of services, strategies and solutions to meet our clients and prospects where they are at in their meetings management journey. Participates in creation, communication and support of Meetings Management value proposition, market position and strategic objectives. Leads team to set objectives and agenda; communicates and generates allegiance to those objectives. Coaches and motivates the team to achieve sales goals. Responsible for oversight and direction of team including performance/activity updates with stakeholders. Fosters a collaborative work spirit within department and organization. Recommends the involvement of BCD M&E subject matter experts and specialized departments to achieve client and BCD M&E goals. Continue to foster and drive Global Account Manager strategy and connectivity for new solutions. Allows decision making at lowest appropriate level. Provides recognition for job well done and ensures recognition is a key standard throughout organization. Develops strategic business relationships at senior level within companies and suppliers on a long-term basis. Leads the company’s North American sales process and global coordination. Approves pricing related to competitive bids ensuring pre-approved margins and contributions are met. Prepares both short-term and long-term business plans for area of responsibility so the organization will meet the company’s strategic objectives. Ensure sales solutions are in line with Program Optimization standards. Evaluates and approves pricing for prospective clients in accordance to finance guidelines. Builds long term business partnerships at key levels for clients and vendors. Actively participates in direct report performance management, development planning and succession planning; ensures all downline managers do the same. Manages the performance of direct reports and down line employees.40-hour work week. Option to work remotely from home.
