The Level III M365 Support Engineer is responsible for the collaboration support of M365, which includes conditional Access, Azure AD, Exchange Hybrid configuration, and the M365 application suite. This individual is responsible for supporting, securing, maintaining, and managing the M365 Collaboration tools, infrastructure, applications, and related technologies. Lastly, this role is responsible for administrating the M365 platform with a primary emphasis on security.

Remote work allowed.

Duties & Responsibilities

+ Serve as Subject Matter Expert on capabilities of Microsoft 365 (M365) collaboration tools by providing a clear understanding of the changing technological landscape resulting in strengthened business processes and enhanced outcomes.

+ Manage and maintain the M365 environment, which includes overseeing Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, One Drive, Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, and Intune.

+ Ensure M365 Suite aligns with the newest requirements of the CIS Security Framework (Conditional Access, Cloud Application Security).

+ Create and maintain documentation around design architecture, Business Continuity Plans, technical roadmaps, monitoring, and performance plans. Mentor other colleagues on procedures/guidelines.

+ Lead the administration of SharePoint, including the creation of new sites and processes.

+ Implement and adhere to best practices on email protection systems, email gateways, and retention policies.

+ Respond to M365 support issues by troubleshooting and resolving various problems.

+ Provide technical expertise in finding root causes by developing solutions and changes to prevent future instances or outages.

+ Develop, implement, analyze, and update documentation related to security controls and processes. Provide action plans to bring the bank into compliance resulting in strengthened business processes and enhanced outcomes.

+ Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of SharePoint sites and processes, including collaboration portals, enterprise search, and custom business solutions.

+ Ensure the operational health of the M365 environment, including security, availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability.

+ Perform regular audits and control documentation around M365 access (Role-based Access Control).

+ Assign and maintain M365 Software Licensing.

+ Conduct and complete additional assignments/projects as designated by management.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Bachelor’s degree with technical background is preferred.

+ Microsoft certifications preferred.

+ Minimum four years of experience with M365.

+ Demonstrated proficiency with Azure Active Directory, Exchange, InTune, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.

+ Proficient knowledge of and exposure to managing windows servers.

+ Must be professional, comfortable speaking with external and internal contacts with a demonstrated ability to tailor the message appropriately to the audience and situation effectively.

+ Demonstrated ability to convey thoughts and ideas effectively and succinctly via written formats, including emails, letters, and electronic platforms. Maintain professional standards relating to spelling and grammar.

+ Maintain credibility through professional demeanor, appearance, and presence by modeling standards appropriate to our environment and industry.

+ Maintain good working relationships with internal partners by exhibiting exemplary interpersonal skills, adopting a constructive, solutions-focused approach.

+ Use sound professional judgment to balance the interests of the organization and customer, understanding and using available resources to mitigate risks.

+ Knowledge of PowerShell scripting with the ability to write scripts.

+ Strong understanding of Exchange Hybrid -2016 and Exchange Online.

+ Experience with the management of M365 security scores and compliance scores.

+ Proficiency with M365 products and applications, including the ability to effectively prepare or review documents, procedures, and reports.

+ Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and applications, as well as the ability to understand, adapt and adjust responsibilities/workflows as a result of system upgrades.

+ Occasional travel to other First American Bank locations, Bank functions and training facilities may be required.

+ Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday support rotation required based upon department schedule. Additional hours may be required depending upon business need.

+ On call and after hours support is required.
