This Opportunity
Be involved in projects with our Safety & Security Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Sr Safety Technical Specialist to join our national team. This position is able to sit anywhere in the United States.
Your Impact
+ Manage or support management of Safety Team projects.
+ Manage safety and security team staff on projects, as needed.
+ Develop and coordinate project proposals responses for potential clients.
+ Provide client interface, coordination and project updates.
+ Provide Safety Risk assessments for projects or programs including safety certification.
+ Coordinate safety and security team staffing for WSP projects that require safety and security expertise.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
+ 10+ years of experience in transportation related projects, public rail, transportation security and /or emergency management projects preferred.
+ Bachelor’s Degree or Masters’ Degree in transportation safety, engineering, planning or another related field.
+ Transit Safety and Security Professional (TSSP) Certification Preferred.
+ 2+ years staff management experience.
+ Experience with Federal Transportation Administration (FTA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), or Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requirements or guidance required.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience or training in safety and security risk assessment and analysis.
+ Excellent communications skills, written and oral.
+ Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.

Compensation
Expected Salary: $92,500 – $213,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $104,200 – $177,200
