Job Description
General Summary: Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, according to Radiologist’s directions/protocols, utilizing a variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
Location: Edward Hospital Hours: Part-time, 7:00am-3:30pm Required:+ High School Diploma or GED
+ IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
+ At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT (N) (Nuclear Medicine) or CNMT certification. Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered within six months of start date into position. Current incumbents have until July 1, 2010, to acquire ARRT (N) or CNMT certification
+ Current CPR certification
Preferred:+ A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher
