OCED is a multi-technology office responsible for overseeing more than $20B of investment in large scale demonstrations in emerging technologies such as clean hydrogen, carbon capture, advanced nuclear reactors, grid-scale energy storage, industrial emissions reductions as well as demonstrations in rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged regions. We are looking for individuals with a range of skills and interest in large-scale clean energy demonstration projects, particularly in renewable systems, carbon capture and removal, hydrogen, and nuclear energy technologies.
The Division Level Project Manager manages, plans, and coordinates activities of contractor support within the Division. This individual reviews project plans to determine schedule, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects. The Division Level Project Manager establishes work plans and coordinates contractor staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. The Division Level Project Manager identifies functional or cross-functional requirements and resources required for each task.
REQUIRMENTS
+ Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of related experience or a master’s degree plus 5 years of related experience.
+ Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
+ Clean Energy experience desired but not required.
+ Remote position on eastern time zone.
+ Experience in DOE environment is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.? Work is mostly sedentary in nature but will require periodic standing and walking and lifting.? Must have good vision and be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.?
