Farnsworth Group is seeking a Senior Architectural Project Manager in our Springfield, IL office. In this role, you will market and manage multidisciplinary teams for high-profile projects and will supervise a dynamic and growing architectural staff.Job Activities:
+ Create, manage, and produce projects for a broad variety of clients.
+ Provide inspirational leadership and mentoring to architectural staff members.
+ Play a key leadership role on projects throughout all project stages.
+ Manage regional business development pursuits including strategic proposal development for the group and coordinating a core group of interior design and architecture professionals to achieve business development and financial goals.
+ Serve as a seller-doer generating work, creating long-term relationships and delivering long-term value to clients.
+ Lead and coordinate business development efforts to include market research, client relationships, developing leads, and securing contracts.
+ Develop, review and approve proposals, reports and contract documents.
Candidate Qualifications:
+ Multidisciplinary team leadership experience in any or all of the following markets: Healthcare, Commercial, Education, Municipal and/or Institutional.
+ Demonstrated design insight and leadership on major projects.
+ Experience with responding to Requests for Proposals, Expression of Interests, Statement of Qualifications.
+ An entrepreneurial orientation with strong understanding of the business development challenges of a consulting-services provider.
+ Strong leadership, communication, organization, team building, and relationship-management skills
+ Proven success in developing new clients and maintaining strong client relationships.
+ Experience with managing and mentoring architectural staff.
+ Experience negotiating project scope and fees
+ Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
+ Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility on projects
+ Graphic and modeling Software skills a plus; Revit, Sketchup, Adobe suite.
Specific Requirements include:
+ Bachelor’s Degree Architecture required, Masters preferred.
+ 12+ years of experience in architectural design and planning of facilities within core markets.
+ 5+ years of leadership and business development experience in the architectural industry.
+ Demonstrated technical expertise as well as proven project management, supervisory, and business development experience.
