Responsible for supervising a team focused on Discover Student Loans Servicing. The role provides strategic and tactical direction for operational activities with focus on ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations, improving customer experience, and identifying process efficiencies. Additionally, the position interfaces actively with Business Technology, Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, and Operations to ensure seamless delivery of student loans servicing processes. Works under minimal supervision. Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk within their processes.
+ Leadsaccuratedocumentation of policies, procedures, process maps, control descriptions, training,and other materials related toassigned processes.
+ Ensurescompliance with policies and regulations through development and oversight of key controls and operational reporting.
+ Staffsand motivatesa highly talentedteam and ensuresalignment the team with the highest priority work streams.
+ Implementsprocess changes within servicing,resulting as an output of projects.
+ Manageskeyoperational metrics andidentifiesopportunities byleveraginganalytical insights reduce operational issues,customer satisfaction, and control operational expenses. Continually improvesservicing processes to deliver adifferentiated customer experience.
+ Engageswith internal (Product, Field, Legal, Business Risk and Business Technology, etc.) partners at all levels, to formulate actionable solutions to business problems. Liaiseswith Project ManagementOffice within Student Loans, Operations Strategy,Complaintsand Incident Management teams to incorporate lessons learned into ongoingprocesses.
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
+ Bachelor’s DegreeinBusiness, Arts and Sciences, or related field
+ 8+ yearsof experience in Customer Service or Financial Services Operations
+ 2+ yearsof experience in people management
+ In lieu of a degree,10+ yearsof experience in applicable line of business (Deposits, Personal Loans, Student Loans), including peoplemanagement, or relatedfield
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $100,500.00 to $170,100.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
