Job Description
Industrial Engineer for Burr Ridge, IL: Will be responsible for Integration and implementation of Pivotware in Mixed Model Assembly lines for improved quality and ease of operation, creating SOPs, SOS, VA/NVA categorization in PROPLANNER. Will balance the assembly lines for optimized workflow and varying production requirements and layout creation/modification using AutoCAD for new processes & change of processes in the existing lines as required for optimized Man/Material movements/ Reduced Takt rates and increased production output. Will conducting process mapping and time/capability studies to improve throughput and create process and workstation flow to accommodate new programs on current product line or extension or creation of a new assembly line. Will assess and validate equipment/tooling capacity for ECOs or Change in production rate requirements. Will create Kaizens for eliminating NVA activities and performs 8D and Root Cause Analysis for addressing Quality issues. Will Carry out ergonomics assessments to identify and eliminate safety hazards for the assembly line workers and provide recommendations to Design team for improved design and ease of operations in assembly lines. Will be responsible for Tool and Fixture designing for installation of new feature/parts for new program requirements and determin means to reduce material usages, material losses & rework, and to achieve cost and energy savings. Will train assembly line operators on new program operations and other engineering changes and prepare O&R, PFEMA, EQI and PFEP documents. Will eliminate bottlenecks and ensure adherence to customer specifications and Utilize tools & methodologies to drive sustainable operational improvements and preparing & Maintaining documentations for World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Audits.
