Job Title: CNC Operator
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
Pay rate: Direct Hire
Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday
+ 1 st Shift 6:00pm-4:00pm
Overview
Provide machining support for the fabrication of components which range in size from miniature to very large and include common materials with hazardous characteristics. Responsible for production of high precision parts and performing complex setups required to produce the parts.
Job Duties
+ Work from complex drawings, prototype sketches, electronic files and/or verbal instructions to facilitate the manufacturing of parts and assemblies by setting up, and operating manual and CNC mills and lathes, EDM and a variety of general machine shop equipment
+ Uses hand and power tools such as saws, sanders, arbor presses, lathes, mills, grinders, and uses necessary precision measuring instruments, fixtures, and gages.
+ Recognizing tool wear and replacing or changing worn tools.
+ Must be able to complete machining operations including in-process inspection per routers, blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions
+ Must be able to set up CNC vertical mills or CNC lathes with G code controls
+ Set up twin spindle, multi axis CNC lathes (actual machines are swiss style without guide bushing
+ Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathes
+ Set-up, adjusts, and operates CNC lathes to produce parts to print specifications
+ Set up, adjust, and operate automatic and CNC lathes
+ Daily operation of the CNC Lathes and CNC Notching Machine
+ Operate CNC lathes (Okuma) and horizontal or vertical mills (Mazak)
+ Provide machining, and product life-cycle support in a classified environment
+ Machine parts and applications for a wide variety of materials and sizes using blueprint drawings, CAD models, and pre-written CNC programs on CNC and manual lathes, mills and other equipment

Qualification
+ Minimum Technical Degree or Equivalent Experience
+ Knowledge/Education in testing, repairing, and maintaining medical equipment
+ Strong customer service and communication skills
+ Must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment
+ Must be able to work both individually and in an established team setting
