Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Reliability Engineer to support Integrity Management efforts related to environmental remediation projects with a major oil and gas client in North America to join our team! In this role you will get to employ the client’s Integrity Management practices and industry best practices for remediation assets throughout the program, support remedial site project teams with Integrity Management compliance, reporting and tracking efforts, and act as liaison between Parsons projects and the client’s Integrity Management lead.

This role will require work in Northern Illinois and Indiana.

What You’ll Be Doing:

+ Collaborates with Project Managers to ensure project sites comply with client Integrity Management procedures and practices

+ Develops, reviews, and updates project engineering documents, processes, and procedures required to support sites’ Integrity Management efforts. Such documents, processes and procedures include, but not limited to:

+ Preventative and Routine Maintenance Documentation and Analyses

+ Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

+ Inspection and Maintenance Plans (IMPs)

+ Operations Maintenance and Monitoring (OMM) Manuals

+ Protective Safety Device (PSD) Registers

+ Cause and Effect Matrices

+ Optimizes site Preventative Maintenance efforts to increase equipment reliability

+ Collaborates with project and client stakeholders to identify, track, and report reliability Key Performance Indicators for project sites and assets

+ Conduct Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) to justify continuous improvement efforts and support Cost Benefit Analyses

+ Supports non-routine / capital project efforts including, but not limited to:

+ Scope Development / Planning

+ Draft Contractor Execution Instructions and Drawings

+ Participate in Contractor Selection / Engagement / Oversite

+ Project Close Out Efforts (QA/QC Documentation, As-Built Drawings, etc.)

+ Supports Management of Change (MOC) efforts related to mechanical integrity and reliability according to client site specific procedures and processes.

+ Supports site-wide Pipe Management Program to minimize piping failures. Activities include but not limited to:

+ Establishing Thickness Testing and Inspection Frequencies

+ Understanding / Tracking / Mitigating Corrosion Mechanisms

+ Writing / Updating Piping Conditions Reports Summarizing Failures and Mitigation Methods

+ Actively promotes and supports safety policies and monitors the job site for good safety practices.

+ Submits ad-hoc Integrity Management reports to client and responds to client issues and expectations.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Material, or similar)

+ 6+ years related work experience

+ Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity and work in a fast-paced team environment

+ Excellent written and oral communications skills

+ Familiarity of industry practices and regulations

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

+ Professional Engineer licensure is a plus

+ Experience with environmental remediation projects or engineering support in the oil and gas industry is a plus

+ Familiarity utilizing SAP for maintenance tracking and KPI reporting is a plus

Additional Information:

+ Role will be based in the Greater Chicago Area (hybrid) but will support efforts for multiple sites across North America (about 30-40%).

+ Ad-hoc travel to sites to support documentation and compliance efforts for this role will be required.

Salary Range:

$68,400.00 – $119,700.00
