Purchasing Specialist / Procurement Specialist :
- Support day-to-day tactical purchasing activity, purchase orders processing, managing deliveries from suppliers / vendors according to Production / Operations / Installation requirements, rectify purchase order issues, handling daily payments, delivery, and invoice issues with assigned supplier base, and maintenance of purchase orders.
- Manage Material Availability ( missing parts )
- Manage suppliers and related activities to drive cost, lead time, and on time performance to meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Manage Purchasing Document for Stock Items. Maintain purchase orders and change orders according to procedures.
- Manage Acknowledgement of Purchasing Document for Stock Items
- Expedite the delivery of critical parts to production as needed and communicates updates to management and the project team.
- Coordinate with all departments regarding supplier related issues within assigned commodities including but not limited to Immediate Actions (I.A’s) and Over, Short & Damage (O, S & D’s) reports.
- Maintain documented records for both internal and external communications as it relates to commercial issues.
- Manage Capacity Self-Declarations
- Manage Supply Chain & Capacity audit, Manage Specific Conditions for Vendors
- Consolidate Vendor Demand Multi-Business / Multi-Site
- Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
- Approve invoices for payment.
- Communicate engineering releases and engineering change notices to suppliers.
- Provide information to Management and Projects to keep them informed of any critical issues within assigned commodities, utilizing standard reporting processes and procedures.
- Update and maintain accurate delivery dates and PO acknowledgment confirmations in SAP ERP / MRP application
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- Several years of experience as a Purchasing Specialist, Procurement Specialist, Buyer, etc ( buying, procurement / supply chain management, etc )
