What You'll Do:
The Tech Lead is a specialist in the at least one area and provides technical leadership during the agile development process.
The Tech Lead role is responsible for overseeing the design for large and complex technical solutions and defining the product-level technology strategy keeping the focus on business and non-functional requirements, such as scalability, performance, load time etc.
The Tech lead will use their technical knowledge to complete system designs that are functional, efficient, and work across platforms.
They lead the developers on the team by helping them understand the stories/features, reviewing code, and using their overall knowledge of the system architecture for their area of expertise.
Will build and maintain complex systems.
Demonstrated expertise in specific sets of technical domains, and can quickly develop proficiency in other areas, as the business requires.
Provide any level of technical support necessary on complex projects or projects involving new technology.
Leverages knowledge to research and prototype innovative approaches to problem solving, reducing technical costs, and keeping their divisions technology current, relevant, and marketable.
Works with the Product Team to understand the project's vision and requirements and contribute to the refining of the requirements based on technical constraints.
Contributes to building the roadmap/release plan for that product/project area.
Assigns story points using criteria such as requirements uncertainty, project risks, system impact and complexity.
Runs the estimating portion of sprint planning meetings - helps the development team determine the tasks that need to be done to complete the prioritized stories.
May facilitate daily scrum meetings with the development team to assess progress and helps to remove risks/issues outside of the meeting.
May facilitate the sprint retrospective meetings to gather feedback and then leads improvement actions in future sprints.
Takes responsibility for defining and communicating a multi-faceted system design.
Supports the Development Team throughout the design and development cycle, helping them to design, code, test, debug, and document within programs appropriately.
Engages in high-level discussions and correspondence with non-technical Business and Domain experts focusing on formulation of candidate solutions.
Able to exchange complex ideas in an understandable way, while demonstrating a clear understanding of the problem.
Builds strong relationships with client level and IS-level Operations teams and often acts as liaison between the teams.

What you'll Need:
Bachelor's degree (with preferred concentrations in Math, Actuarial Science, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, MIS, Engineering) or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Experience of at least 5 years in designing complex technical solutions.
Minimum Experience of at least 3 years with the Java Programming Language
Demonstrated experience with AWS, Spring/SpringBoot, Kafka, MongoDB.
