POSITION: Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Baxter & Woodman’s Water Resources Department has a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Engineer in any of our Crystal Lake, Naperville, Chicago, Mokena, Illinois offices. This position focuses on stormwater facility planning and design, project management, and technical review of municipal civil engineering projects. A large portion of our projects include the design of large diameter storm sewers, open-cut detention basins, underground detention basins, and overland flow route improvements to help mitigate urban flooding.
POSITION DUTIES:
- Lead preparation of complete design documents (Plans, Specifications, Estimate of Probable Costs).
- Design of municipal stormwater facilities, including large diameter storm sewers and detention.
- Permitting with local, state and federal permitting agencies.
- Assign tasks, schedules, and budgets to project team members and coordinates project scheduling.
- Conduct internal project meetings and status meetings with clients to discuss tasks, schedules, and budgets.
- Responsible for completing each project on time and within budget. Regularly monitor project schedules and budgets throughout the duration of the project.
- Technical direction and QA/QC review at appropriate stages of project execution.
- Prepare proposal scope of services, project budgets, and contracts.
- Business development, marketing the firm’s services to clients.
