BUSINESS SYSTEMS CONSULTANT: AbbVie, Inc. – North Chicago, IL

Identify and communicate client needs and opportunities for business process improvement that can be enabled via technology. Responsible for overseeing the work responsibilities of two (2) direct reports (2 Associate Business System Consultants). Responsible for managing communications and expectations with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate ability to function as HR & Payroll subject matter expert (SME) in order to collect complete and accurate business requirements from business SMEs by means of interviews, workflow analyses and facilitated discussions. Responsible for importing and exporting data to and from Workday using Report as a Service (RaaS) and Web Services, and APIs in Workday Studio and Taleo Connect Client using SOAP. Translate the business requirements of users into detailed functional designs for development, testing and implementation. Build relationships with clients, internal team members and other BTOs to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts. Develop documentation that accurately reflects client needs and is clearly defined for Development and QA teams (i.e., business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, test plans, business process flows, etc.). Perform as HR & Payroll subject matter advisor to less experienced team members. May participate in teaching and training members of work team. Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures, identifying current and emerging business needs and evaluate alternative IT solutions using standard information systems methodologies and best practices. Prepare go-live plan, system down time and validate it with the application and business stakeholders. Coordinate and facilitate application Change Requests & Enhancements. Complete estimate of effort for the Change Requests, owning and tracking them to successful closure. Design complex integrations for Workday HCM, Payroll and Benefits vendors. Develop custom reports & worklets, including Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, and Composite reports in HR Project modules such as Organizational Management, Personnel Administration, Time Management, Recruiting, Benefits, Performance management, Compensation, Payroll, etc. Configure EIB, PICOF, Web Service integrations and building Custom Reports using Calculated Fields in Workday. Develop custom XSLT modules for Workday interfaces and document transformations in order to accommodate web service-based interface requirements. Design Taleo user type, user group and security domains for Candidates, Employees, Recruiters, Business HRs, and Security Admin user profiles. Employ experience with SAP to Taleo, SAP to Workday, Taleo to Workday, Workday to Payroll Systems (ADP, SAP), SAP to .Net/SharePoint, Workday to Fieldglass, and Taleo Connect Client (TCC) integrations. Responsible for utilizing XML, XPATH, WSDL and XSD to write XSLT transformations to transform the web services requests to meet the integration technical requirements. Configure XSLT transformations to transform the web service requests to meet the integration technical requirements. Design Interfaces using EDI Integration, File transfer protocol (FTP) and build project support tools using Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW) and Batch Data Communication (BDC). Build new conditional rules in Workday system to eliminate the employee data failures. Complete the Impact Analysis for the proposed functional requirements. Perform gap analysis of business rules, system process flows, user administration, requirements, and risk analysis of existing systems. Collaborate with technical team members during design and development to ensure successful code development. Utilize working knowledge of all aspects of the Workday & Taleo including Applications, Integration, Data, Security, Change Management, Training, and Communications. 5% domestic and international travel required.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a highly related field of study with at least five (5) years of related progressive experience, with three (3) years of related experience in the following: (i) importing and exporting data to and from Workday using Report as a Service (RaaS) and Web Services, and APIs in Workday Studio and Taleo Connect Client using SOAP; (ii) compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures, identifying current and emerging business needs and evaluate alternative IT solutions using standard information systems methodologies and best practices; (iii) configuring EIB, PICOF, Web Service integrations and building Custom Reports using Calculated Fields; (iv) SAP to Taleo, SAP to Workday, Taleo to Workday, Workday to Payroll Systems (ADP, SAP), SAP to .Net/SharePoint, Workday to Fieldglass, and Taleo Connect Client (TCC) integrations; (v) utilizing XML, XPATH, WSDL and XSD to write XSLT transformations to transform the web services requests to meet the integration technical requirements; and (vi) performing gap analysis of business rules, System process flows, user administration, requirements, and risk analysis of existing systems. 5% domestic and international travel required.
