As an integral part of Intel’s new IDM2.0 strategy, Intel Foundry Services (IFS), Technology Development (TD), and Manufacturing Operations are developing competitive leading-edge process technology, expanding Intel’s global at-scale manufacturing capacity, and growing a world-class foundry business to become a major provider of U.S. and European-based semiconductor capacity. We are seeking an experienced attorney to join the Legal team to support Intel’s TD, Manufacturing and IFS businesses.

Responsibilities

In this exciting high-visibility position, you will provide legal support for Intel’s Foundry business and TD. This role reports to the VP, International and TMGF Legal. Responsibilities will include:

+ providing legal support to one or more teams within IFS in key transactions with foundry customers and suppliers, and strategic acquisitions;

+ counseling and supporting IFS business development in negotiating foundry manufacturing agreements;

+ working with cross-functional and international teams in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East on the development and implementation of strategies, policies and practices to ensure the success of the Foundry business;

+ leading IP-centric negotiations for the Technology Development business unit on collaboration agreements with technology companies and universities;

+ supporting Technology Development research and commercialization engagements with the US government; and

+ collaborating with Intel’s government affairs team to obtain U.S. and foreign government incentives for semiconductor manufacturing and R&D activities.

Qualifications

You must have a J.D. degree and be admitted to a U.S. state bar or equivalent. You should have a minimum of fifteen years of experience in general business counseling including commercial sales/purchasing transactions and Intellectual Property (IP) licensing.

Additional qualifications include:

+ Legal experience counseling a foundry business.

+ Superior counseling skills with emphasis on practical solutions to business needs, strong drafting and negotiation skills and excellent teaming ability.

+ Excellent communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently without significant supervision in support of client needs.

+ Sound understanding of IP licensing, particularly in the areas of indemnities and warranties.

+ Working knowledge of antitrust laws.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $189,000.00-$301,820.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
