Position: Japanese Bilingual Sr. Accounting Manager
Location: Elk Grove Village, IL (on-site)
Salary: $100K - $120K
Reporting to the Japan HQ, the Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for directing and overseeing the accounting and financial activities of the company. The ideal candidate will have bilingual Japanese skills to effectively communicate with the headquarters in Japan and demonstrate knowledge in cost accounting, financial analysis, and managerial report preparations.
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
Monitor and analyze accounting data, and prepare financial reports and statements.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Manage financial and budget reports, including financial forecasting and risk analysis. Provide advice on cost reduction and profit increase.
Collaborate with other departments as needed.
Ensure compliance with internal audit and JSox requirements.
Develop the department's skill set and succession planning.
Oversee activities and review monthly financials of the Accounting department.
Respond to requests from company headquarters.
Submit necessary documents to meet deadlines, such as Japanese financial reports.
Evaluate and improve department controls, systems, and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency in business processes.
Standardize and streamline the flow of accounting tasks.
Undertake special projects as needed.
5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Strong Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software/ERP.
CPA certification is not required but preferred.
Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills. Create a positive work environment.
