Job Description
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years of related experience required. Prior experience must include any amount of experience with each of the following: design, implement, and maintain shell scripts to automate tasks in a Linux environment; write, edit, and maintain technical documentation and runbooks for the operational health of software systems; design, implement, and maintain high performance, large scale distributed systems in C++; analyze the performance characteristics of software with profiling and observability tools in order to identify avenues of optimization. JOB DUTIES: Research, design and develop computer software or specialized programs; analyze user needs and develop software solutions; apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering and mathematical analysis; update software or enhance existing software capabilities; analyze information to determine, recommend and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system; determine system performance standards; develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures. May work from home 1 day per week. Must live within commuting distance of office.
