Job Description
Description:
• Assist in providing field and record information to be used in the production of engineering drawings and reports.
• Assist engineering staff in the preparation of engineering designs and reports, related drawings, specifications, and construction projects estimates.
• Become proficient in office procedures i.e., timesheets, expense reports, etc.
• Understanding engineering terminology, surveying, and construction practices related to civil engineering.
• Responsible for following company CAD standards as outlined in the company CAD standard manual.
• Perform computer drafting on a regular basis to create final drawings
Skills & Qualifications:
Required knowledge, education, and experience:
+ Must have a high school diploma or GED.
+ Possess basic CAD/drafting skills in the civil engineering space
+ Must have a valid Illinois Driver’s License.
+ Utilize various engineering and word processing software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other programs used within your division one year of experience as a civil drafter is very nice to have as well
Required skills and abilities:
+ Must be able to take direction, collaborate with other team members, have good interpersonal skills, and communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
+ Adapt to changing technologies and learn the functionality of new equipment and systems.
+ Strong computer experience as well as mathematical skills
+ Organizational skills and detail-oriented
