The Care Management Support Assistant Intern will utilize Humana’s Illinois Medicaid training and engage former skillsets acquired to provide non-clinical support to the assessment and evaluation of members’ needs and requirements to achieve and maintain optimal wellness state by guiding members/families toward and facilitate interaction with resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members. The Care Management Support Assistant Intern may perform a variety of activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
Responsibilities
The Care Management Support Assistant Intern performs varied services to support the Illinois Medicaid members and their families and works in collaboration with licensed team members to support Illinois Medicaid. Work assignments are often straightforward and of moderate complexity.
Required Qualifications
+ Transitioning Service Member eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge, or Military Spouse eligible to participate in the Military Spouse Fellowship Program
+ 2 or more years of administrative support experience in a healthcare industry
+ Customer Service Experience in the Health Care industry
+ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook
+ Familiarity with Medical terminology
Workstyle: Hybrid / Office
+ Remote work at home with onsite office attendance a minimum of 1 day weekly. ?
Location: Schaumburg, Illinois
Schedule:
+ Monday through Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
+ No weekends or holiday shifts

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
+ At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
+ Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
+ Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
+ Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
+ Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Preferred Qualifications
+ Associate’s Degree.
+ Bilingual a plus.
+ Previous experience working with Medicaid, Long Term Care, or Medicare members.
