Job Title: Wax Operator
Type: Temp to Hire
Location: Richmond, IL
Pay rate: $18.00
Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday
+ 1 st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm
Overview
Manufacturing highly specialized support surfaces in 2008, for a wide range of durable medical equipment. Our first customers were medical OEMs and healthcare distributors, and most of them are still with us today.
Job Duties
+ Set up and operate wax line:
+ Weigh wax
+ Package in appropriate packaging
+ Use machinery and equipment efficiently with a minimum of wasted time or materials
+ Trouble shoot and adjust equipment as required
+ Hand load appropriate raw material for the next wax load according to the schedule
+ Completed assignments comply to predetermined quality standards typical for the machinery or equipment used
+ Perform quality control testing on all equipment
+ Follow work instructions and workflow diagram
+ Continually improve skill and product base
+ Ensure workflow is continuous
+ Completing all 5S duties as directed Ad hock tasks as
+ Directed by the team supervisor and/or manager
Work Environment
+ Majority of the work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high
+ PPE required as determined by company safety standards: safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes
Job Requirement
+ Up to 6 months experience in a warehouse
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Must be able to communicate (understand/speak) in Englis
+ Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
+ Standing/Walking is required up to 90% of the workda
+ Ability to work weekends and overtime when needed
+ Language: English
+ Competencies/Behaviors
+ Excellent verbal communication skills
+ Must be detailed and results oriented
+ Must work effectively in a group and/or independently
+ Must have basic computer skills
+ Must have basic math skills
+ Must be able to handle high volume, fast paced and high stress environment.
